Luo Shengjiao - Red is the East (Luo Shengjiao - Dongfang hong 罗盛教 - 东方红)
It is not uncommon to find characters in Chinese comic books singing Mao’s praise. In one such comic, seen here, and published in 1973 and named after Korean War model soldier Luo Shengjiao 罗盛教 (1931–52), the soldiers are seen singing two familiar songs under the blazing sun: “Red Is the East” and “The Three Main Rules of Discipline and the Eight Points for Attention.”
